The story behind the song:
One hot summer day in 2005 I decided to make a gift to Alejandro Jodorowsky, the writer-director-musician (and many other hats) so I went to where he usually reads the Tarot on Wednesdays, some cafe near Daumesnil, in the south of Paris.
So, our encounter goes like this:
- Hello Mr. Jodorowsky.
- Who are you?
- Nobody, I have a gift for you. – He looks attentively at my hand as it goes into a bag I was carrying and I produce a CD.
- What is that?
- A song I made for you, to celebrate your work in Les Technopères… you are a very imaginative writer…
- Thank you. Where are you from?
- Mexico, surely, you can tell by the accent. (we were talking in Spanish)
- Indeed, you must be northern, I lived in Mexico also, but in the south…
- I know, I’ve met your Mexican son… Well, I don’t want to take your time, I made this song thinking about space, about the great story of Albino and all the universe you’ve created…
